Three Turkish engineers working for Turkey’s ENKA Teknik were freed on Saturday after 8 months of abduction in Ubari, south Libya.

The three engineers arrived in Tripoli late on Saturday en route to their country. They were received at Mitiga Airport by Foreign Minister Mohammed Sayala and Turkish ambassador Ahmet Dogan.

No further details were given. The identity of the kidnappers remained unknown, and it’s also not known whether a ransom was paid for their release or not.

The three engineers were abducted in November 2017 while on their way from Ubari airport to Ubari power plant, where they had been working.
