The General Assembly of the Arab Family Organization (AFO) has elected Libyan Minister of Social Affairs Wafa Al-Kilani as Chair of the Board of Directors of the organization.

The 15th session of the General Assembly of the AFO kicked off on Thursday in Tripoli, with international and Arab participation.

The meeting saw the attendance of Daisy Costera, President of the World Family Organization, and representatives of member states from Tunisia, Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, Lebanon, and Kuwait, as well as the ambassadors of Tunisia and Algeria.

A statement by the Ministry of Social Affairs said the meeting discussed enhancing the role of Arab families in building their societies.
