The Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR), Aguila Saleh, has issued a decision appointing Mohammed Saleh as head of the General Authority for Hajj and Umrah, based on Law No. 31 of 2023 issued by the HoR regarding the establishment of the Supreme Authority for Hajj and Umrah.
The head of the High Council of State (HCS), Mohammed Takala, announced his rejection of the HoR decision regarding establishing a Supreme Authority for Hajj and Umrah.
In a letter issued on December 11, HCS head called for canceling the decision as contrary to the political agreement and the decisions and documents attached to it.
