Musa Al-Koni, a member of the Presidential Council/ Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army, has praised the military institution as "the safety valve for defending Libya."

Addressing a group of cadets at the Military College of Tripoli, Al-Koni emphasized the army's crucial role in preserving the nation's unity and stability, citing examples of countries whose regimes fell but whose military institutions remained cohesive.

He stressed the importance of the Military College in building military competencies of officers who are loyal to God and then to the homeland, not to governments and regimes.

Al-Koni called for the necessity of the graduates' faith in God and the nation, as well as their loyalty to the ancient military institution, which he said would preserve the nation’s unity and sovereignty.
