Member of the Presidential Council Abdullah Al-Lafi has met with a number of notables of the western region to discuss the outcomes of the preparatory conference for national reconciliation and the mechanism for the participation of notables and municipalities in the conference.
The Presidential Council said in a statement that the meeting touched on the obstacles facing the national reconciliation file and ways to address them.
Al-Lafi indicated that the work of the preparatory committee is limited to preparing for the inclusive national conference in which all Libyan people and members representing the various major political parties will participate, according to the statement.
The statement added that the notables affirmed their support for all efforts to restore stability to the country through national reconciliation.
