Member of the Presidential Council (PC), Abdullah Al-Lafi, has discussed with the members of the Joint Military Commission 5+5 JMC for the western region, the repercussions of the statement of the members of JMC for the eastern region.
Al-Lafi stressed that the PC, in its capacity as the supreme commander of the army, would continue to support the work of the JMC to preserve everything that had been achieved during the past months.
He also indicated that any defect in the JMC work would undermine the successes that had been achieved, and might negatively affect the security of the country, its integrity and unity.
The western members of the JMC said the eastern members' statement is aimed at division, saying that they are far from political strife as the JMC is a purely technical commission.
