The Head of the High Council of State, (HCS) Khalid Al-Mishri, discussed on Wednesday in a meeting with the French ambassador to Libya, Mostafa Mihraje, the briefing of the UN envoy to Libya at the Security Council and his new proposal,
According to a statement by the HCS, the meeting, which was held at the HCS headquarters in Tripoli, focused on the latest developments in the Libyan political affairs, especially the constitutional track.
The UN envoy Abdoulaye Bathily proposed, in his briefing to the Security Council on Monday, an initiative eventually aimed at holding presidential and parliamentary elections in 2023, indicating his intention to form a high-level steering committee in Libya for this purpose.
