The Head of the High Council of State, (HCS) Khalid Al-Mishri, received on Tuesday the Italian ambassador to Libya Gianluca Alberini in Tripoli.
The HCS media office said the meeting discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance economic cooperation in a way that serves their common interests.
The meeting also touched on the file of national reconciliation in Libya and ways to support the track of the Libyan-Libyan solution to reach elections as soon as possible, in addition to the external destabilizing interference of some countries in Libya.
Al-Mishri stressed the keenness to hold elections according to the electoral laws resulting from the 6+6 joint committee, given that these results were final and binding, saying that they could only be amended by the joint committee, in addition to discussing a proposal for a roadmap for the implementation of the electoral laws that was initially approved by the High Council of State.
