Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR), Aguila Saleh, met on Monday with the Algerian Ambassador to Libya, Suleiman Shanin.
During the meeting, developments in the situation in Libya and bilateral relations between the two countries were discussed, according to the HoR media office Facebook page.
The Algerian ambassador confirmed his country support to the HoR “as the only legitimate elected authority in the country,” according to the same source, stressing his country’s respect for the right of the Libyan people to choose who represents them.
