The Iraqi ambassador to Libya, Ahmed Al-Sahhaf, has announced that the Speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives (HoR), Aqilah Saleh, expressed his desire to visit Baghdad.
This came during a meeting between the two sides on Tuesday, reviewed the overall situation and challenges facing the region, according to a statement issued by the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The statement, which was reported by the Iraqi News Agency, added that the meeting discussed Iraqi-Libyan relations, and ways to strengthen them, in a way that serves the interests of the two peoples.
Al-Sahhaf stressed the importance of work and coordination between the Parliament of the two countries, enhancing cooperation relations, exchanging visits, and continuing support between the two parties.
