The Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC), Moussa Faki, reaffirmed the Commission’s readiness, along with the remainder of the African Union institutions, to support the Libyan Government of National Unity as it deems appropriate in various fields of relevance.
In a statement, Faki stressed the necessity to complete procedures for appointing the new government in Libya and congratulated the executive authority on both sides, the Presidential Council (PC) and the newly elected government, on what he described as the worthwhile progress made on the road to peace, reconciliation and long-lasting harmony within Libya.
