The Head of the UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Abdoulaye Bathily, on Tuesday, briefed Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah on his recent meetings with Libyan political parties, encouraging them to help create appropriate conditions for holding elections as soon as possible.
According to the Hakomitnal platform, Dbeibah received the UN envoy at his office in Tripoli to discuss developments in the Libyan political scene.
The PM affirmed support for the UNSMIL's efforts and lauded the "positive role" of Bathily's initiatives aimed at resolving the Libyan crisis and his support for holding elections per fair and impartial laws.
The government-run Hakomitna platform highlighted that Bathily hailed during his briefing before the Security Council last month the stable conditions Libya is seeing compared to previous years.
