The UN envoy to Libya Abdoulaye Bathily said on X platform that he had held consultations with Khalifa Haftar and had an in-depth and frank discussion on the political situation.
"We agreed on the necessity to address all issues related to the political process and facilitate elections in the near future." Bathily added.
He said Haftar had expressed his support to his efforts and shared his thoughts on ways to make the preparatory meeting of the Libyan stakeholders a success.
