The United Nations envoy to Libya, Abdoulaye Bathily, has stated that he agreed with Khalifa Haftar to continue joint efforts towards peace and stability in Libya.
This came during a meeting held Monday in Benghazi that discussed the political and security situation in the country, and concrete steps moving forward to enable the electoral process, according to Bathily X platform page.
On Sunday, Bathily met with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, agreeing on the urgency of taking concrete steps towards elections to answer the popular call for legitimate institutions, according to the same source.
