The Brega Oil and Gas Marketing Company has discussed the implementation of a project to establish an integrated oil depot in the capital, Tripoli, with a reserve storage capacity of 600 million liters of fuel and bulk fuels.

The Council of Ministers has allocated a plot of land in the municipality of Janzour for establishing a marine receiving point for all petroleum products and tanks for storing diesel fuel, gasoline, heavy fuel oil, kerosene and aviation fuel, in addition to storage tanks for liquefied gas and the installation of a gas rotor with a production capacity of 30,000 cylinders per normal operating day, the company said.

The project aims to cover the needs and requirements of the greater Tripoli region, whose needs represent about 48% of the total requirements of the western and southern regions, and about 34% of the country's total daily fuel requirements.
