The United Kingdom has donated £300,000 to the United Nations Development (UNDP) Program to support the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum facilitated by the UN mission in Libya, the UNDP has confirmed.
The UNDP clarified on its official website on Thursday that the agreement was signed by the UNDP Resident Representative, Gerardo Noto, and the UK Ambassador to Libya, Nicholas Hopton.
It explained that the contribution will be used to support the intra-Libyan dialogue, as outlined in the Berlin Conclusions, approved by the Security Council resolution 2510.
With this new contribution, the total fund from the UK to the UNDP programs amounts to £5.6 million, according to the UNDP.
