The Central Bank of Libya (CBL) has announced the resumption of international card transactions at local point-of-sale (POS) terminals operated by Libyan banks, effective Wednesday.
In its statement, the Central Bank stressed that transaction fees must not exceed 2.5%, adhering to existing regulations. This move is part of broader efforts to streamline financial transactions and promote electronic banking services across the country.
CBL noted that the initiative aims to offer more flexible payment options to customers, simplifying purchases and reducing dependence on cash.
