The Chadian authorities have announced that 30 mercenary fighters had given up their weapons and returned from the Libyan territories.

A reception was held for a crowd of former rebels of the Front for Change and Concord in Chad (Fact), in the presence of the governor of the desert town of Kanem.

These rebels decided to return to the country after staying in Libya for several years, as the former rebel leader, Othman Mohamed Tahir, expressed his determination to consolidate peace, security and coexistence in Chad.

He also called on other rebels to lay down their arms and join the national reconciliation process.
