Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah and Governor of Central Bank of Libya, Siddik al-Kabir, held a meeting in the presence of a number of officials to assess and discuss government spending for the first half of 2023.

During the meeting, the attendees emphasized the necessity to disclose all government expenditures during the current year, and the need to include all state institutions without exception.

The meeting stressed the need to take care of citizens and provide services to them, explaining that more than 80% of the budget goes to citizens directly.

They also emphasized the need for coordination between ministries of Finance and Planning and the Central Bank to present all expenditures in detail, so that all citizens be aware of all financial allocations and expenditure aspects.
