Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah has issued a directive to commence the immediate maintenance of schools in the Jabal Al-Akhdar region, which suffered flash floods on September 10.
Dbeibah met with the Minister of Education, Musa Al-Magarif, and the directors of relevant departments in the presence of the Minister of Local Government and the Response and Emergency Committee at his office on Tuesday.
According to the PM media office, the educational facilities authority branch in the eastern province will oversee the contracts with the executing companies to ensure compliance with the approved standards and timeline.
The PM also recommended providing school furniture and establishing temporary mobile classrooms until the maintenance work is completed.
