The Deputy Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Stephanie Koury, has reiterated support for the Presidential Council's efforts aimed at achieving stability in Libya. She stressed the importance of cooperation in ending the political stalemate in the country.
These remarks came during Koury's meeting on Saturday with the Deputy Head of the Presidential Council, Mossa Al-Koni, in the presence of the First Deputy Head of the High Council of State, Masoud Abed, and the Second Deputy Head Omar Al-Obeidi.
The Presidential Council's media office said that the meeting discussed the latest developments in the situation in the country. It added that Koury stressed the necessity of coordination with political parties and involving them in reaching successful solutions that lead to holding elections which the Libyan people aspire for.
