The new Presidential Council (PC) said that the European Union mission expressed its readiness to support the PC and the elected head of government.
In a statement by the PC, it confirmed that both parties at a meeting on Tuesday in Tripoli touched on the importance of joint coordination between the Libyan and European sides in order to alleviate the crisis of the flow of illegal immigrants, border control and the combat of organized crime.
For his part, the EU’s ambassador to Libya, Jose Sabadell congratulated the members of the PC, along with the Prime Minister on their election, stressing the European Union’s readiness to provide them with full support
