The Chargé d'Affaires of the Iraqi Embassy in Libya, Ahmed Al-Sahhaf, has confirmed the release of five Iraqis who were detained in Libya for illegal immigration.
Al-Sahhaf said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency that this came after high coordination with the Ministry of Interior and the Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency in Libya.
The Iraqi Embassy in Tripoli has doubled its efforts in conjunction with its reopening after about a decade, to increase the effectiveness of follow-up and efforts towards the most important files that enhance the presence of Iraqi diplomacy and raise its status at the level of bilateral relations, according to the agency.
