African Union

Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Taher Al-Baour held talks on Tuesday with African Union Commission Chairperson Moussa Faki, ahead of the 46th Ordinary Session of the AU Executive Council, which convenes today.

The discussions centred on the African Union's role in fostering greater coordination and consultation on key continental issues.

Both officials underscored the importance of strengthening joint efforts within AU committees to advance the bloc’s strategic objectives.

The two sides also reviewed the agenda for the upcoming session and exchanged views on enhancing cooperation and integration among member states, in line with the Union's broader goals of promoting shared interests and sustainable development across Africa.
