France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom and the United States have affirmed their support for the Libyan National Oil Corporation (NOC), warning all parties against undermining the NOC's work in line with UN Security Council resolutions.
In a joint statement, they stressed the need to avoid actions that might pose a threat to the peace of Libya, calling on all Libyan actors to respect the unity, integrity and independence of the NOC.
The five countries also called on the Libyans to preserve the non-political and technical nature of the Tripoli-based NOC, saying that the non-interruption of its operations would benefit all Libyans.
