exports

French exports to Libya amounted to $325 million in 2023, a significant increase of 36.4% compared to 2022, the French Embassy in Tripoli confirms.

The upswing marks the highest level of French exports to Libya in eight years. French exports to Libya primarily consist of pharmaceuticals, industrial and agricultural machinery, agriculture products, refined products, perfumes, cosmetics, and chemicals.

The export increase is seen as a positive indicator of the resumption of economic and trade relations between the two countries. This growth comes as France seeks to strengthen its presence in Libya.
