The General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) has announced that major overhauls will be carried out for the production units currently being implemented at North Benghazi, Western Mountain and Al Khums power plants.
The company said in a brief statement that the major overhaul works will soon include the Zueitina plant, which will be operated before the summer peak, to contribute to meeting the increasing demand for electricity.
These works come as part of the GECOL's efforts to raise production efficiency and improve the performance of the power grid.
