The Public Prosecutor's Office has ordered the detention of officials from an electrical works company and two guards, pending an investigation into charges of deliberately setting fire to the firm's warehouse in the Al-Karimia area of Tripoli.

According to the investigations, the fire was caused by a deliberate placement of flammable materials ignited by a heat source. Consequently, the blaze consumed a warehouse housing components and electrical equipment valued at 179,370,264 Libyan Dinars.

The authority suggested a deliberate act of arson, preceded by a series of incidents involving misappropriating certain warehouse assets. Inquiries extended to include administrative, commercial, storage, security, and safety officials, along with two security guards.

Law enforcement officials have been instructed to take into custody the individuals believed to be responsible for igniting the flames, as well as the chairman of the board of directors, who is presently absent, for interrogation.
