The General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) has announced that it is continuing work on completing the 400 kV South West Line project, linking the two substations west of Tripoli and south of Tripoli.

GECOL confirmed that work was carried out inside the South station on Saturday to conduct the connection process between the station and the line, which will allow the transfer of energy produced from the West generating station to the public grid through the West and South 400 kV substations.

In a separate context, more shipments of operational materials continue to arrive, as a number of trucks loaded with electrical wires of different types and sizes for the components of the distribution network, imported from Tunisia, arrived at the company's warehouses.
