oil tanker

The General National Maritime Transport Company (GNMTC), has celebrated the joining of two new oil tankers to its fleet.

As informed, the tankers, "Al-Hayat" and "Al-Kufra" type Aframax, are equipped to carry 115,000 metric tons each.

The Libyan state-owned company said the step is part of its relentless efforts to develop its marine fleet and to assert its firm resolve to move forward with its development plan for 2020-23.

The two tankers, constructed last March in South Korea, were manufactured to comply with the highest quality standards of the coalition of major oil companies (OCIMF) and international requirements and conditions applicable in the maritime market, the company noted.
