The Government of National Unity (GNU) announced that the Department of Technical Affairs at the Administrative Centers Development Agency had begun counting the buildings of the University of Tripoli damaged as a result of the recent clashes, with the aim of starting maintenance work.

Government-controlled Hakomitna platform added that Dbeibah had previously instructed the agency to carry out the necessary maintenance of the affected colleges before the start of the new academic year.

It is to be noted that the university and a number of public institutions and buildings, homes, shops and private properties in the neighborhoods of southeast of the capital, Tripoli, have been severely damaged as a result of the clashes that took place between the armed groups of the Deterrence Force and the 444th Brigade, in which 55 people were killed nearly 150 more injured.
