Haftar, Bathily agree on need for 6+6 committee to finalize election laws

The UN envoy to Libya Abdoulaye Bathily said he had met with Khalifa Haftar in Benghazi and agreed on the need to finalize the draft electoral laws by 6+6 joint committee, and create conducive conditions for inclusive national elections in Libya.

Haftar's office said the meeting saw discussions on the latest political developments in addition to the need to finalize the draft electoral laws by 6+6 joint committee, and create conducive conditions for inclusive parliamentary and presidential elections in Libya.
