The First Deputy of the High Council of State (HCS), Masoud Abid, met with the Italian Ambassador to Libya, Gianluca Alberini, at the embassy's HQ in Tripoli on Sunday.
The meeting focused on bilateral relations, developments in Libya's political crisis, and supporting the UN Envoy Abdoulaye Bathily's efforts.
Discussion also covered national reconciliation and establishing agreed-upon electoral laws. Abid emphasized Italy's role in supporting a peaceful solution and assisting local institutions.
For his part, the Italian Ambassador lauded the HCS efforts and support for consensus.
