The Head of the Spanish technical team participating in the rescue operations in Derna said that the scene in the city is similar to what happened in the Japanese city of Hiroshima due to the atomic bomb.
The team leader explained in a television interview on one of the Spanish channels that his team used very advanced techniques during the search and rescue operations it carried out in Derna.
He added that "Derna has become like a ghost town. There are shops but no one," and that the disaster that occurred there is the biggest tragedy the team has ever faced.
