Imad Al-Sayah, the head of the High National Elections Commission (HNEC), met with the UN Envoy to Libya, Abdoulaye Bathily, on Wednesday to discuss electoral affairs.
The meeting focused on the latest developments in the municipal council elections and support to enhance the Commission's work.
During the meeting, Bathily reaffirmed the continued support of the United Nations mission and the international community for the elections, as he praised the Commission's level of preparedness.
On his part, Al-Sayah expressed his gratitude for the efforts made in the area of international expertise and election technology, intending to ensure a high-quality and credible electoral process.
