The House of Representatives (HoR) and the High Council of State (HCS) will hold a new round of talks under the UN auspices that will extend until next Wednesday in the Egyptian capital to push on with progress towards the constitutional basis for forthcoming elections, according to Stephani Williams, the UN Special Adviser on Libya.

"It is the responsibility of all legislative bodies to show good faith and work constructively per the rules in force and the political agreement," Williams said in a letter addressed to the HCS Head Khaled Al-Mishri.

She added that the Libya people clearly expressed a desire to end the conflict and divisions and reach a clear consensual path to restore the momentum of the electoral process.
