Minister of Interior Emad Trabelsi on Sunday mandated Major General Khalil Wahiba to act as the chief of Tripoli Security Director.
Wahiba was helming the Internal Audit Department at the Tripoli Security Directorate.
The new chief will succeed Major General Mahmoud Al-Abed, who was occupying the post before his discharge.
The ministry did not elaborate on the reasons behind his dismissal.
