The European Naval Operation IRINI has announced that it had monitored 15 suspicious flights out of 1,000 and 146 flights to Libya during the month of March and continued to monitor 25 airports and runways and 16 ports and oil terminals.

IRINI said in its monthly report that it carried 13 vessel surveys with the consent of masters out of 447, and radioed 311 merchant vessels out of 8,958.

The report added that Turkey refused at the end of March to inspect its ship, "MV Kosova", despite the request of the leadership of the inspection operation, in accordance with the UN Security Council resolution.

It is noteworthy that the European Union launched Operation IRINI on March 31, 2020, with the authorization of the UN Security Council, and with the contribution of 24 European Union countries.
