The Head of the Tunisian-African Business Council, Anis Jaziri, reaffirmed that the closure of the border with Libya by way of a Tunisian decision has negatively affected hundreds of economic institutions on both sides, calling for comprehension of the effect on the institutions and economic players in general.

Jaziri told Tunisian radio “Diwan FM”, that the Tunisian and Libyan sides should try to find immediate solutions to permit the passage of goods through land crossings between both countries, along with travellers, expressing his enigma at the border closing, which was not carried out in the correct diplomatic manner, as he put it.

Jaziri indicated that the closure of the borders affects economic interests and trade exchange between the two neighbourly countries.
