Libya Al-Ahrar TV said it had received documents that revealed correspondence showing that Khalifa Haftar and his forces’ leaderships took about 500 million dinars of tax returns in east Libya in 2021.
The report said the documents were sent to the Attorney General and Audit Bureau by Taxes Authority, calling for taking legal action to return the money to the state’s treasury.
The report also says that the orders for taking the money came from military authorities in eastern Libya and that the money was transferred to their private accounts.
