The Minister of Economy and Trade of the Government of National Unity, Mohammed Al-Hawij, called on Thursday, the Arab League to establish a council of ministers for cybersecurity for Arab countries due to its importance at the present time.

This came during the meeting of the Economic and Social Council of the Arab League, held in its 112th regular session in Cairo, where the Libyan delegation presented 21 files, including the unified Arab region, and developments in the customs union between member countries, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Economy and Trade.

Al-Hawij also confirmed Libya’s support for the proposal of the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development regarding the sustainable program for Arab food security, noting the need to commit to activating and implementing the signed agreements, especially the Unified Arab Insurance Agreement.
