Libyan Ambassador to Bulgaria Abu Bakr Saeed met the Deputy Prime Minister/ Bulgarian Foreign Minister Maria Gabriel on Thursday to discuss strengthening the bilateral relationship between the two nations.
The parties reviewed plans to develop and restore “momentum” to mutual ties in various fields, such as gas, oil, education, and health.
Ambassador Saeed called on the Bulgarian side to resume work at their embassy in the capital, Tripoli.
He emphasized Libya's keenness to negotiate the outstanding issues between the two countries, including the tanker Badr that is currently detained in Bulgaria, and the debts owed to both sides.
