Libyan Ambassador to Spain denies passengers from Madrid were exempt from Covid-19 plans

Libyan Ambassador to Spain, Walid Abu Abdullah denied on Monday, that Libyans repatriated from Spain have been exempt from the coronavirus tests or the quarantine measures imposed on people arriving from other destinations.

"Such news is baseless" stressed the ambassador, explaining that around 103 Libyan citizens returning from Spain went into quarantine for 14 days, and took the Covid-19 tests.

An aircraft of the Libyan Airlines arrived at Misurata Airport last Saturday carrying passengers from Madrid, after undergoing the Covid-19 measures imposed by the Libyan authorities, according to Misurata Airport information office.
