The Libyan team Etihad lost to Al-Ahly of Egypt by 28 points against 20 in a match held in the Egyptian capital Cairo on Tuesday evening within the African Handball Championship.

Al-Ahly entered the match with the home side advantage and managed to gain a lead in the first half by 15 to 11. In the second leg of the match, Al-Ahly ended the match 28 to 20.

Etihad ended second in its group to secure qualification for the quarter-finals of the African Handball Championship.
