Libyan weightlifting champion Ahmed Abuzaireba has secured a spot in the 2024 Paris Olympics, according to the tripartite commission of the International Olympic Committee.
The Libyan Olympic Committee announced that Abuzaireba was awarded this qualification after a series of successful participations in internationally recognized competitions over the past two years.
Abuzaireba’s qualification card is one of only three allocated globally for the 2024 Paris Olympics, amidst competition from athletes from 32 countries.
The 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris are scheduled to take place from July 26 to August 11.
