A young man called Mohammed Al-Ghanai died by drowning while trying to save two men in one of the resorts of Tajoura.
The rescue unit in the National Safety Authority was able to rescue the two men, the authority said.
The Maritime Rescue Department had previously warned all citizens to avoid swimming along the Libyan coast on Saturday and Sunday, due to sea level fluctuations
