The Eyes Hospital in Tripoli has announced the success of an operation on a person who has been blind since 1996.

The hospital administration stated that Mohammad Ahmed Rahal, a military engineer from the city of Zawiya, underwent a corneal transplant operation on Sunday to restore his eyesight for the first time after 26 years.

The administration praised the medical team, the Cornea transplant team, and the visiting doctor, Surgeon Dr. Amir Mostafa, who performed the operation with the participation of the cornea unit team of the hospital.
