The head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, reviewed in a phone call on Saturday, with the UN envoy, Abdoulaye Bathily, the outcome of his meeting in Benghazi, with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aqila Saleh, and Khalifa Haftar.
“I welcomed Menfi’s coordination with the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) in our joint efforts to promote a broad compromise amongst all Libyan actors. I also reiterated my commitment to support Libyans to work towards an agreement paving the way for the holding of inclusive and peaceful elections”, Bathily said in a post on his X platform page.
