The Director of the Military Prosecution Office in Tripoli, Ayoub Al-Ajili has ordered that seven defendants in the case of financial misuse and waste of public funds in the Military Medicine Service, be included in the list of banned individuals from traveling abroad, ordering their passports to be confiscated.

This order came in a letter to the Passport Office and the Department of Foreign Affairs on Monday. The accused individuals, including Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in the Government of National Accord (GNA), Mohamed Haytham, the Director of the Military Medical Service, Omar Huwaidi, and five other officials of the agency, were charged with corruption and mishandling of funds dedicated to the combat of the Coronavirus pandemic.
