Minister of Planning Muhammad Al-Zaidani, met on Tuesday with the UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator for Libya, Georgette Gagnon, to follow the developments in the UN 2023-2025 sustainable development program in Libya.

The program, launched by the UN mission in Libya in December 2022, focuses on four strategic priorities, including peace and governance, sustainable economic development, social and human capital development, climate change, and environment and water.

Minister Al-Zaidani reviewed with the UN official the functioning of the UN funds, agencies, and organizations in Libya, besides a joint coordination mechanism to implement action plans.

He also briefed Gagnon on the government's efforts to finance development projects according to national priorities, according to the ministry's media office.
